GP Plasma’s Inline Coating Facility: Driving Innovation in R&D and Pilot Production
We’re excited to share that GP Plasma’s inline coating facility is now fully operational, actively supporting customer projects in R&D and pilot production. This advanced system integrates plasma cleaning steps, sputter deposition, and PECVD (Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) processes, offering a robust solution for cutting-edge applications like solar cells, electronics, and beyond.
The facility features a substrate carrier size of 500 mm x 1300 mm, providing ample space for large-scale projects while ensuring precision and consistency. Whether you’re developing a prototype or scaling up production, our inline coater is engineered to meet your needs with flexibility and efficiency.
A standout feature is our clean room, which exceeds Class 10,000 requirements. This ultra-clean environment minimizes contamination—a critical factor for sensitive projects where quality cannot be compromised. Paired with custom tooling designed to securely hold your specific samples, we tailor our capabilities to your unique requirements.
Current customer projects are already underway, leveraging the facility’s plasma cleaning for surface preparation, sputter deposition for thin-film coatings, and PECVD for high-quality layer deposition. These efforts are driving advancements in fields like renewable energy and advanced electronics, showcasing the real-world impact of our technology.
For those familiar with our earlier work, this facility builds on the foundation laid by our vertical inline coater, previously detailed in our blog on contract work capabilities. Now, we’re taking it further with a dedicated space for collaboration and innovation.
